Award Criteria and Application

Applications are now open for the inaugural BCEC LSQ Bio-Innovation Bursary, a new three-year initiative established by the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) and LSQ to support Queensland's emerging life sciences researchers. Valued at up to $25,000, the bursary will provide flexible funding to strengthen industry engagement, accelerate research translation and support activities that enhance the commercial impact of research. Open to eligible early and mid-career researchers across Queensland, the recipient will be announced at the 2026 LSQ GENE Awards on 11 September.
