LSQ CEO Update - 23 March 2023

Dear Members and Stakeholders,As we gear up for BIO2023, I wanted to update you on some of the exciting activities we have been involved in recently. We have been working closely with the government and AusBiotech to ensure that the event is a success, and we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a series of information sessions starting from Tuesday, March 28th.Recently, Dr Christine Williams our Chair and I had the pleasure of visiting Dr Wayne Finlayson and the Servatus team to see their automated facility and hear about their pipeline of products and development. It was great to hear about their expansion plans and product development and see how they are going from strength to strength. We also attended the launch of the 2023 BridgeTech program by Professor Lyn Griffiths from QUT at the Stryker R&D Labs. The program Director shared the national participation of researchers through to legal professionals, all keen to progress their commercial skills. This unique program is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals to develop their skills through a combination of online learning and in-person symposia.During our visit to Stryker, we were impressed by the R&D innovation showcased by Julia Hocking and Matt Malone. The point of care innovation centre they have developed is truly remarkable, and we are excited to see what the future holds for Stryker.Manufacturing is always a key focus for us, and we recently had the pleasure of visiting Cori, Samuel, and the ARM Hub team to see the diverse manufacturing projects and initiatives they are supporting. We look forward to partnering with them further in the future.Lastly, congratulations to Bionics Qld for their launch of four key reports on the dynamic field and opportunity for Bionics with the leading role that Queensland innovators in universities, industry are playing globally. We heard from the Laronix founder on the crucial role of support that has helped them to secure growth and investment in the US.We hope you find these updates engaging and informative, and we look forward to seeing you at BIO2023.Best regards,Erin
