AusTrials Launch New Research Hub at Westside

After over 10 years in Sherwood, Life Sciences Queensland Limited’s (LSQ) member and supporter, AusTrials, has outgrown their old facility and upgraded to a new premise located within the Westside Private Hospital in Taringa. This location will enable AusTrials to improve efficiency with several medical specialists practising there.

AusTrials hosted a grand opening event on 19 February 2020 and welcomed numerous colleagues to celebrate the occasion from Healius, QLD Health, pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organisations, Westside Day hospital and others.

Dr Munro Neville, Managing Director and owner of AusTrials, said he was excited for what the future had in store for AusTrials.

“I am encouraged by the growth that AusTrials has experienced over the past two years and our new facility provides patients, clients and staff better access to ensure the highest quality of research.”

The state-of-the-art facility enjoys three consulting rooms including a GMO PC 2 compliant room. AusTrials has doubled head count with investigators and registered nurses to accommodate the growth concentrating on Phase I to IV trials.

The Westside Private Hospital is now home to various health care providers including QML Pathology, Adora Fertility, Breast Clinic, Westside Haematology and Oncology with AusTrials commencing their first trial partnering with QLD X-ray in April 2020.

As AusTrials continues to expand they will be opening another new facility in Tarragindi in March 2020.
