Working Groups
  • Only a limited number of active Working Groups will be supported by LSQ at any time (and such support may be withdrawn at the sole discretion of the LSQ Board).
  • The LSQ Board will (at the CEO’s recommendation) determine which groups will be supported. Member feedback and strategic value will be considered when making this determination.
  • Any pre-existing groups which are considered for support, will at the LSQ Board’s discretion, be reconstituted to engage individuals who seek to achieve the LSQ Objectives and the needs of their sector’s stakeholders.
  • Where possible, LSQ members will be engaged in the Active Working Groups – however suitable individuals who are not LSQ members will be considered.
  • The LSQ Board reserves the right to limit the number and who will be invited to join a Working Group.
  • The Working Groups will not operate independently  of LSQ – however the Working Group chairperson or nominee, may be invited to join with LSQ representatives when sector representation is required. 
  • The constituent members of a Working Group will be reviewed on an annual basis.
  • The Working Group will develop objectives for their sector, including a high level marketing and activities plan for incorporation into the overall LSQ activities and approval of the LSQ Board.
  • Working Groups will be expected to meet at least quarterly.
  • The LSQ CEO or nominee will be a member of each Working Group.
  • Events organised by Working Groups will carry LSQ branding – and if appropriate sub-brands will be included.  
  • Policy ideas and recommendations generated/developed from Working Groups will be escalated to the LSQ Board through the CEO – for the Board’s consideration.
  • LSQ will provide support and logistics for events as identified in the activities plan and agreed with the Working Group
  • Subject to available resources, provision of limited secretarial support will be provided – and will be assessed on a case by case basis.
  • Costs and revenues associated with a Working Group’s activities will be identifiable within LSQ’s accounts. The surplus funds generated from events and activities – if any, and subject to LSQ Board approval, will be maintained for the use of the Working Group’s objectives.
  • Working Group members – will not be paid, however will be offered a limited range of LSQ Member privileges and offers (Those who are LSQ members receive all LSQ member privileges). Privileges are subject to change.
  • Involvement on a Working Group will be subject to confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
  • Subject to the non disclosure requirements - involvement on Working Groups will not preclude an individual from undertaking their own representations or business dealings.
